Heschel, Abraham – The Prophets Buy (Harper & Row, 1962) 540 pp. ToC
Heschel (1907-1972) was an American Jewish professor. While the second part of his work, especially, lays a liberation-theology paradigm of social justice based upon a God with passions, the first part of his work, especially, is very valuable for the historical context it helpfully sets the prophets in. Stimulating reading.
